Uniforms & Equipment Empty Uniforms & Equipment

Post by DavidJ Sun Jan 11, 2015 3:28 pm

It is despicable that some companies are still playing the game of making guards pay for all or parts of their uniform and equipment. These items should be supplied free of cost to the guards.

Something as simple as a flashlight/batteries seems to be a real sticking point with some companies. Well if you want your guard(s) to check out dark areas then PROVIDE a flashlight. But why do that when most guards will go and buy one themselves. Well how about if the company does not supply a flashlight the guard(s) don't go into dark areas on the grounds of refusal  of unsafe working conditions.

Some why aren't the unions and the members not jumping all over this?

Just a little trivia - Indo British Garments makes uniforms (assorted). The company is a division of G4S India. Now how many security companies do you know that make their own uniforms?

Yes our agency supplies all required uniforms at no cost to our officers. We just have them sign for them and return items when the leave our employments.
